old friends, new friends

This is Little N and Little C.

I've known Little C's mom since we were 5 years old. And now our boys know each other.

With a little effort and coordination on us moms' part, these two will be old friends someday too.

Jenni: These days my life is filled with my son, my job... hope, train sets, laughter, softening to accept grace, relinquishing my distractions (maybe just 1 to start) to give spirit a little more room, clean but-not-folded laundry, thrift store shopping, fatigue, calling my sister & texting my mother, adaptation, snapping photos of beautiful ordinary life. & love.

Little N is On the Spectrum

On November 30, 2010 my son, Little N, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The months leading up to that were a long process of evaluations and an early intervention program. Today, we continue to work with Little N to both give him the skills to navigate the world of neurotypical folks and to share in his unique exploration of the world as he meets it.
