preparing for Samhein

Last night we planned the ritual for Samhein. This will be my first. C shared her, new, understanding of why Samhein is the Witches' New Year. It's about this season as a time of going into the darkness. Everything that lives, that sustains life, that produces life, enters some phase of rest, hibernation, relying on what has been stored up, and later starting new life from this time. This is one of the things I love about pagan faith. I hold onto the meaning that it gives to the darkness.
